The Percy Jackson series, by author Rick Riordan, centers around a boy named Percy, and the Gods of Greek Mythology, including Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Athena, and others. Percy Jackson is a half-blood, or a half-human, and a half-god. He is the son of Poseidon, the Sea God, and this causes a stir amongst the gods and half-bloods. Percy goes on quests to save lives, and helps the Greek gods in times of turmoil and chaos. Follow Percy on his quests to save the world and discover things about himself and his new life along the way! This is an incredibly compelling story about a young boy learning about a new side of himself, and making friends (or enemies) along the way.

Percy’s carefree attitude and snarky humor towards his adventures draws in readers. Throughout the series, Percy is accompanied by Annabeth, a quick-witted and intelligent daughter of Athena, and Grover, a satyr, who is a half man and half goat protector of nature. The three of them go on many adventures together, causing disturbances and having fun, with Percy’s tendency to get into (a lot of) trouble, Annabeth’s intelligent wit and extreme love of architecture, and Grover’s tendency to eat metal cans when nervous (Not strange at all). I hope you appreciate Percy’s adventures, and his fun, sarcastic remarks, as he ventures into the unknown world as (my personal favorite) son of Poseidon.
